Lucie Horton is a producer working across narrative and documentary projects. Drawn towards films that weave cinematic flair with compelling narratives, she is driven by work that sheds light on the shades of grey in the human experience, pushes visual boundaries and taps into broader universal social issues.
Lucie works across both sides of filmmaking, as comfortable creating multi-million pound budgets as she is editing scripts. She enjoys building brilliant teams to bring a director's vision to life and working closely with collaborators to find creative solutions that turn ambitious ideas into reality.
Her production experience has taken her around the world in countries including Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Jordan, Senegal, Spain, the UK and the US. From negotiating access deals with high-profile political dissidents and navigating complex immigration systems, to safely co-ordinating stunts and gaining the trust of contributors from vulnerable backgrounds. She believes the best work comes from ensuring everyone on set feels creatively invested, safe and listened to.
Most recently, Lucie has enjoyed working with acclaimed directors Nora Fingscheidt and Julia Jackman in the narrative space, helping to develop the creative, manage high-profile actors and ensure the projects maintain on time and in budget.
